WoW Grind 40-50

By admin On December 30, 2008 No Comments

I Decided to reveal what i did to get from level 40 to level 50 in a relatively short amount of time.

Level 40-44

Head over to Tanaris and kill the Wastewander Thieves. This is the most efficient levels i have ever made, because you can turn in 5 Wastewander Pouches that the thieves drop fairly often in bunches of 5 to npc in Gatzegan to get 480xp, on top of all the xp you are gaining from the thieves. I only killed thieves at lvl 40-42 (only the bandits and thieves). Here is a link to exactly where i leveled off them-http://i44.thottbot.com/m/b/wow_81522.jpg- the white boxes in the left corner is roughly where i was. Among the Pouches, they drop mageweave nearly everytime in increments of 2-3, a stack is worth around 1g on the Ner’zhul Server! You can also find solid chests around the thieves.

Level 44-48

Stay in Tanaris and head to the Southsea Pirates by the docks in eastern tanaris-http://thottbot.com/?m=7077 However, if you are melee, stay away from the Swashbucklers because they can disarm you. I went inside the dock gates (not by the campfires) and i killed around Andre Firebeard’s area (not near him though :hes tough =p:) These also drop mageweave and solid chests spawn around the pirates for some mighty good ‘ol treasures.

Level 48-50

Head to central Tanaris and find the Dunemaul Ogres here-http://thottbot.com/?m=39759. The Ogres drop good loot to NPC that sell for over 1g each. Solid Chests can also be found among them. On the northern end, there are a bunch of ogres in a line, and you can kill from the beginning to the end just as the first one spawns again, so you can kill them infinitely without ever having to stop, which is what all we crazy grinders like to hear =p.

While i did this, i found 2 epic drops, Dazzling Longsword and Gut Ripper, over 120g worth at the AH, as well as the Schematics for a Sniper Scope in a solid chest. I hope this guide can help you level from 40 to 50 with relative ease, Good Luck!

Leveling Xilli’s Money And Grinding Spots Guide Part 1

By admin On December 26, 2008 No Comments

Hi All,

I’ve just finished a new character to 60, a Rogue, and i chose to go through the game only doing instance quests and the ones at the start to get to lvl 12 or so, and i grinded every single bit of XP apart from that to reach 60, and in this process i have found so many great grinding spots and money spots i couldn’t believe it and ended up reaching lvl 60 with 1100g and all my items up to date, and since these kinda posts have dried up on the site a bit i thought i would make one. So I’ll try and remember all of them that i can, if i forget any and remember ill post em up later, enjoy.

Money / Xp Grinding Spots ::

Salt Flats – 7 / 10
If you are lvl 30 – 36 you can goto the salt flats, i would recommend a bit higher then lvl 30 if you want to grind but, because you will have to rest after every fight and cant grind very efficiently, i went at lvl 32. The Salt flats have a wide range of beats including Turtles, Basilisks, Vultures and Scorpions. These mobs are all good for xp, as they are around the lvl range i said before, but they drop heaps of random bits and pieces, like shells, wings, bones, scales, claws etc. These parts all stack in lots of 5 or 10, and there are loads of them down there so you can build up a fair bit quite quickly, and this stuff really adds up when u go to sell it at a vendor, i had no trouble making up around 10g after a few hours, and heaps of xp to. 10g might not sound much to higher lvls but makes mount money a lot faster to get.

Tanaris Turtles – 8 / 10
All along the coastline from a little north of Steemwhindle Port, or however you spell it, to up near Lost Rigger Cove, there are turtles called Snapjaws, which range in lvl from 42 – 45 from memory and are a Neutral Mob until you attack them, which makes grinding them that much easier when there is no aggro to worry about. These Turtles are great, as well as having great xp, they drop scales, and shell fragments which sell for a lot, a stack of 5 shell fragments is around 50s, and scales sell for a couple of silver each also i think. On top of this they drop Big – Mouth Clams, which can contain Black, Iredescent and Small Lusterous Pearls, which also sell great on AH. I had no trouble making a lot of money on these guys, just watch out for the opposing faction handing in Quests at the NPC’s around there, i got ganked a few times. But really these guys are great, if you are around that level give them a try, i made about 50g off them in the few lvls i was there, i got about 12 Green Items to.

Lost Rigger Cove – 9.9 / 10
What can i say, i absolutely love this place, its incredible to say the least. This cove is filled with lvl 44 – 46 humanoid pirates, and stacks of them. The Humanoids drop Silver, Mageweave Cloth, Common Grey Weapons that sell at a vendor for almost 1g each, Lockboxes and all sorts of Green / Blue and Epic Items. I grinded lvl 45 – 49 here, even at 49 when the xp was getting low, it was to good to leave. You get heaps of mageweave, which i sell on AH for 1g Per Stack, or you can vendor for 50s a stack. They drop lockboxes, the lockboxes contain random vendor junk, silver and sometimes map fragments, or a key. The map fragments are for a chest you can find on another beach in tanaris, once you have all 3 parts, this chest has minimum 3 green items, u can get blue items in it if your lucky. The Key that may drop, is for a chest in a pirate ship in the area, which also has a green item and possibly blue. But by far the best part about this area, there is always 2 Large Solid Chests that spawn around the area, and out of these chests i got so much stuff, Herbs, Food, Blue and Green Items, Truesilver, Mithril etc, just a whole lot of random stuff that you can sell for money. And as soon as you get both of them, about 5 minutes later they are spawning again somewhere else. Out of these chests, i personally got 21 Green and 3 Blue items during my grinding, not to mention the other stuff in them. Andre Firebeard, the named captain mob in the area, is for a quest, so once again just be on the lookout for ppl doing that quest, but i rarely saw a sole while i was grinding. I Made 600g from this area, I found 2 Epic Items while i was grinding there, a Perfectly Calibrated Boomstick and a Ring of Saviours, now this is a random world drop as you know, so there is no saying they will drop for you, but the amount of mobs you can kill down there in short time is huge as there are so many of them, and they respawn fairly quickly. The only reason i won’t give this place 10, is because at some of the tents, where the chests spawn, there are sets of 2 pirates, and they are linked, and this can be a pain in the arse, cause if your not a rogue and cant sap one, or a mage and sheep one, then you gotta fight two of em. But they don’t have that much HP so it really isn’t to hard. But i must insist you try this place, it is very, very good.

Dunemaul Ogres – 8 / 10
These guys are in 3 different area’s of tanaris, the Dunemaul Compound and the East / West Moon Ruins. I must insist if you are going to grind them, go out to the ruins further north into tanaris, as the main compound it used for questing frequently and you will have problems. The reason these guys are good is a bit different to the others. The main advantage of them is that they are really easy to kill, they range in lvl from 45 – 49 so you can grind them for ages, i did until lvl 52 or so. The main drops are mageweave, common grey weapons and silver, i got 2 Blue and about 13 Greens there also though. They drop the cloth fairly often so you can build it up quite fast, and as i mentioned before you can make a fair bit of money with it, there is also constantly Purple Lotus spawning around the ruins for any herbalists that grind there, this stuff is worth money on AH. Not much else to say about em, they are just good.

I can’t be bothered writing anymore ATM, but i will do more for lower level spot’s and higher level ones soon and post a Part 2, there is lots more good information to come =), remember, this guide is from personal experience, i can’t gaurantee the drops i got for anyone else but i can promise you they provide good chance and great grinding, enjoy. – Xilli

Hunter Powerleveling Strategy

By admin On December 19, 2008 No Comments

This is nothing really major but ill post this strategy anyways.

Powerleveling other players or other accounts can be hard at times since the way the xps work in wow

sure we all know get on a high level character and help players do quests is probably the easiest but grinding is just much more fun.

heres how i did it with a hunter.

My wife has a low level hunter and I have a level 27 hunter

our basic idea was to try to get her to my level as fast as possible

We are both night elves

1-10 just do the newbie stuff, quests.. can be done in a few hours until you can do the taming quest… once you can tame the fun starts.

ok now that you have tamed a beast.. we moved on to Goldshire. We just asked a mage in Darnassus to port us.. Most mages are nice and will port newbies without charge. Just be nice when asking

Do /who mage

that will give you a list of mages in Darnassus

ok now you have arrived in SW

goto goldshire .. and make a new home. You will be here awhile

pick up all the quests in goldshire..

at this point my wife grouped with me

I did all the quest for her and setting loot to free loot so she can loot whatever.

ok so now we done all the quests.. move on to westfalls .. do all the quests… while grouped.. same as above

ok now the grouping is done. time to grind…

at the time .. i just tamed some black wolf in duskwood for this. I normally use a lion but for this i used a lower level wolf..

why lower level? well there is a reason. I dont want my wolf hitting too hard but i want it to get agro..

ok so i tell my wife ok ungroup.. find a mob 4 levels higher or so

her first arrow shot is con

(she gets first hit)

send pet

now at this point her pet is getting smacked down.. while shes firing off arrows..

I send my not so uber pet in.. and it hits mob once.. doing very little damage but it gets agro..

now constantly hit pet follow.. YOU MUST CONSTANTLY HIT IT OR IT WILL TURN ON THE MOB

as i was hitting the pet follow button i went around in a circle around my wife as she was firing off arrows at the mob.. her pet was hitting mob from behind but mob was constantly on my pet.. since my pet pissed it off really good. My pet is taking a beating but its all good cause it was still a bit higher than the intended mob.

anyways.. my wife was getting great xps for this as if she was in the double xp bracket but she was in purple bars.

anyways not a big major exploit or anything just a cool trick if you have the patience.. and you cannot get banned for this. this is no more than really kiting EQ style in the world of warcraft

Midgame Guide Paladin Leveling

By admin On December 17, 2008 No Comments

This is a guide for leveling your paladin

The class
The paladin is the ultimate support class; they can buff, dispel and heal and are extremely mana-efficient. On top of this they have seals and judgments, that adds more utility to them. They also have their infamous bubbles, which can save your bacon or make you able to do that quest in a hot landing zone. In short, paladins are hard to kill and good to have on your team. Downside is their lack of (burst)-DPS.

Leveling methods
Paladins have a DPS problem compared to other classes. They have the lowest DPS in the game, so questing is the best way to go about leveling your paladin. You can grind, just not for XP (since doing quest yield so much more XP). Grinding can be done, but even then you are better off duoing with some DPS.

Whichever you choose, I highly suggest doing nothing but instances from 58-60 to gear up and get all your key quests done. Not doing so, means missing out on a huge amount of XP.

The traditional ways are:

Grinding:
Not much to say about this. You kill mobs, they give XP, you lvl. If you don’t have a comprehensive knowledge of where quests take you and which order is best, grinding is pretty fast for leveling.
It can be pretty boring, but listening to music or being on Vent/TS helps a lot. Get a rhytm going and stay in it. Take breaks when you mana up to not go completely blind :)

The following is pretty good list of where to grind which mobs. It is however from a Horde perspective and you need to scroll down a bit to get to the guide :) If you read the whole bit, there are some suggestions for alternatives, which work just as well…if not better.
http://www.mpsgames.com/ms/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=31653&categoryid=20&forumid=63

And the following lists some nice alliance spots for grinding. Also are some suggestions on questing.
http://www.wow-pro.com/Knowledge_Base/op=show/kid=515.html

Questing:
If you know your way around the world, this is the fastest way to level up. This is also known as gresting to some. Decent horde guides are few and far between (there are some on this site), alliance have it a lot better.

Horde – if you are horde, use Joana’s guide. That will take you from 1-60 in 5 days /played. It’s written from a hunter perspective, so my suggestion is staggering your progress in the guide by a lvl or two. Other than that, there are some (admittedly with holes in them) guides here in the strat section. An idea is to try and modify the following Alliance guide.
http://forums.blizzhackers.com/viewtopic.php?t=309717 is the text guide (thanks Bay_Cassius
http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=wow+world+of+warcraft+levels are links to all the videos (thanks sQren)

Alliance – if you are Alliance, you got it made! The following guide will quickly and easily take you from 30-60. Reason it’s 30, is because of the quests pre that are in and around the starter areas, so just level quickly to 30 and you are set.
http://www.wow-pro.com/Knowledge_Base/cat=135.html

Talent specs
First of all, you need to figure out how you are gonna level up? Do you prefer to solo all the way, solo 90% of the time or solo 10% of the time and do instances 90% of the time? If you plan on going solo most of the time, there is no need to go heavy in holy and the other way around if you plan on doing instances.

The following spec is a 90% solo spec. It focuses on improving your melee damage with 2Hers (for SOC), while also allowing you to heal yourself reliably in a tight spot. With concentration aura on, you have uninterruptable heals and your Aura of devotion gives 20% more armour, since you won’t be using shields. If you prefer shields, go with redoubt and shield specialization instead of imp. devo aura.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=axxuZxGz0hZVoet0c

The following build is if you plan on doing instances, where you will probably be expected to heal. It’s very holy heavy (35 pts), but with 16 points in Ret, you can still swing some hurt. This is the build I am using on my paladin atm.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sExh0gstZV0xt

This is also the build that works well until you start raiding seriously, at which point you should switch to the last spec.
This last spec is focused on support and not on DPS….at all. Surprisingly, it’s less holy-heavy, but that is because of losing divine strength. It uses protection mostly for BOK and guardian’s favour.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=aVxhbgstVMtc0h

Gear
Again, your gear choices depend on your chosen leveling style…or your wallet. I carry two sets of gear on my pally; one for soloing/DPS’ing and one for healing. For solo/DPS play you should go for STR or AP, since you will do controlled pulls (and have bubbles) or you won’t be hit much (in a group). For heal-bot duty, go for INT and don’t be afraid to throw in leather, chain and cloth (you’ll still have higher armour than a priest).

Mana-efficiency…and gear
Paladins have the most mana-efficient heal in the game and it’s on a 1.5 sec cast too boot. Flash of light (FOL) makes you able to continually throw out small heals, so do this when you heal. Because you are casting all the tim, and you don’t have any talents to allow you to benefit from SPI, you need to go about your gear a bit different from a priest.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-paladin&t=932370&p=1&tmp=1#post932370 has a brilliant discussion on gear, which I will summarize below.

The starting raiding healadin, should go for INT to boost his mana-pool to the max. Once you start raiding and get access to better gear (lvl 60 blues and up), you should start to consider mana per 5 secs (MP5) and +heal. With enough MP5, you can virtually cast forever and with +heal you can cast even longer. Once you get enough +heal you can start to drop down in ranks of FOL and when you get short on mana, switch to lower ranks of longer casting heals, since they take more advantage of +heal and allows MP5 more time to work.

Conclusion
Paladin is a fun class to play, if you don’t mind supporting. If you want to be a tankadin, or a casting DPS-adin or a ret-noob, prepare to be met with some sceptical glances and don’t be too bent on doing it your way, since people have a tendency to type-cast…..besides, you have the most mana-efficient heal in the game, so use it! :)

I know paladins are a popular class, so there will probably be differing opinions on my layout of the class. This is my take on the class, but feel free to chime in below and I’ll add the good stuff up top.

Do not flame my guide, just give me requests our what ever you want, except flames. Well hope you enjoy this wicked guide.

[2] Rogues Loot List

It embarrasing enough when a Rogues tries to roll on Druid pieces when he/she doesn’t know its a druid only item and rolls on it based on stats, so heres a nice loot list by a friend of mine :
http://www.geocities.com/nebk316/RLL/Rogue_Loot_List_v1.html

Heres another loot list I found on Google :

[3] Builds

The main thing people get wrong as Rouges are the builds; they either copy someone elses * its not that bad, but still * or randomly select points. First time Rogue especially have htis problem, well heres some thing to fix this.

===========================
How to use this build: ^ the one above

First is to always open up with a cheap shot or ambush ( I use ambush ) then start pounding away with SS then when at 3 – 5 Pts ( Depends on your HP and Targets HP ) use Evi, then repeat. If you reach 50% HP its best you use Vanish then Cheap Shot, then SS till target has max Pts on him/her then if Evi isnt rdy by now use Prep then Cold Blood to hopefully finish the target. Using this build requires the true rogue or a sneeking player if your non of tht by all means don’t use this build lol, you’ll just get Murdered like a Decked out Rogue vs the Holy Priest.
——————————————–

Level 46: 5 damage increase
Level 58: 7 damage increase
==========================
How to use this build: ^ the one above

Do NOT use SS, because it is a waste of energy in this build, use Hemorrhage to open up atks, its required hat you use either Rupture or Evi, the battle conditions will tell you wat to do, if you open up with Garrote its best you use Evi when at 3-5 Pts on the Enemy, but if you use Cheap Shot ( NO Ambush ) its best you use Rupture then start hacking/slashing away with Hemorr and Evi. Also in this build since you do less Instant/Burst Dmg its best you use Swords, no Maces because since the patch up Blizzard has reduced the ammount of Dmg Maces do with Rogues. Using Swords with Strength and Agilty are the key ( No Stamina, your gear can do that ) because you want to hit hard while doing DoT.

[6] Professions

+ Mining

This is a grreat money maker for a Rogue and I highly recommend it at low lvls so you can save up for a mount, if you do this for farming mats its best you pair it w/ Skinning, Blacksmithing is practicly useless with Rogues because Rogues don’t use Mail or Plate, and the weapons that are made arn’t benifical for a Rogue.

+ Herbalism

A good partner with Alchemy, though not much of a money maker by itself w/ Alchemy its a money maker AND it can benifit the Rogue as well.

+ Skinning

This is a very good money making Profession, mixed with Mining, you’ll be the god of making money when it comes to Professions, Leatherworking is good for lvls 5 – 40, but at higher lvls it becomes a pain and becomes useless to a Rogue. Skinning is good for Farming w/ Mining.

Super Power Lvl Tailor 0-225 In Under 12 Hours

By admin On December 2, 2008 No Comments

Hello all you budding tailors out there, this is a guide from 0 to 225 tailoring in under 12 hours without spending a single dime (should even come out a bit ahead). This came about as a way for my retired priest to generate some money since skinning was doing me no good sitting in IF all day. I decided to make a guide out of this and set a few goals for myself at the same time. I betmyself I could get to 150 in 6 hrs TOTAL time including collecting the mats. That worked out so well, I figured I’d go for 225 in 8 hours (that didnt work out so well because of the MASSIVE amounts of silk needed). This is equally friendly for BOTH factions.

There are some prerequisits so lets start there shall we?

REQUIRED

High level main (preferabley 60)
Alt that is at least 20 (your tailor)
12 hours of play time

MY SET UP

60 Rogue main (farmer)
45 Priest (tailor)
My rogue is also an enchanter for DEing all the green drops to save on bag space/down time.

THE STRAT

0-120 minutes

I started out in The Barrens at Agama Gor grinding on level 17-20 Bristlebacks. I chose here becasue of the sheer numbers of mobs in a reletively small area. Also, because of their level, I knew they would drop both linen AND wool. This proved to be a huge key in the success of this strat. I stayed here for exactly 2 hours with about 15 minutes of AFK for bathroom, booze and kids. In 105 minutes of solid grinding I collected the following items.

Gold: 1g 43s
Cloth: 7.11 stacks
Wool: 6.15 stacks
Greens: 17
Patterns: 3 (including elixir of giant growth formula..sells for about 30g on my server to Alliance)
DE: 22 soul dust, 9 greater magic essence, 1 sm glimmering shard, 2 lesser astral essence

120-140 minutes

IF to empty bags and send cloth/wool to tailor

140-200 minutes

Raven Hill Cemetary ***NOTE: it was a mistake to come here, very inefficient
I just did repeated laps in the catacombs killing alll the level 26-30 undead in there. I ran into some competition which slowed me down a bit so I left after only an hour.

Gold: 1g 89s
Wool: 2.1 stacks
Silk: 3.10 stacks
Greens: 8
DE: 3 greater astral essence, 4 greater magic essence, 8 soul dust, 2 moonstone

Not happy with my silk production I headed to STV since it was close by. Here I found silk heaven.

200-320 minutes

Ruins of Zul’ Kunda (just West of Nessingwary’s Expedition)

This place is just huge and crawling with level 33-36 trolls who are silk machines. I stayed here for about 2 hours like I did in The Barrens and it paid off nicely.

Gold: 2g 78s
Wool: 2.2 stacks
Silk: 7.2 stacks
Greens: 2
DE: 3 lesser mystic essence

320-330 minutes

IF to send wool/silk and log for the evening. So in 5 1/2 hours I collected the following items

Cloth: 7.11 stacks
Wool: 10.17 stacks
Silk: 10.12 stacks of silk
Greens: 27

330-400 minutes

Crafting at IF and SW

At around 160 or 165 two things became GLARINGLY aparent. 1: the silk part of tailor SUCKS and 2: I needed more silk. Back to the rogue I went and back to STV for more trolls.

400-460 minutes

Ruins of Zul’ Kunda (part 2)
Wool: 1.1stacks
Silk: 5.5 stacks
Greens: 0

460-610 minutes

Hoping that was enough silk to get me to mageweave (it was…barely) I headed off to Tanaris for some Ogre raping. Dune Maul Ogres level 45-47 for decent mageweave producers but Im sure there is a better source out there. In just under 2.5 hours of grinding them I came up with the following goodies.

Silk:2.18 stacks
Mageweave: 5.17 stacks
Greens: 2
DE: 1 greater eternal essence, 2 lesser eternal essence

Then I packed it in and headed to IF to mail the stuff and log.

The last little bit of time I spent was crafting (about 1 hour) and it took me right up to 225 with a few scraps of wool, silk and mageweave left over. Total time: Approximately 11 hours and 45 minutes.

Now for the grind portion. What good is a collecting strat without a grind strat to go with it. I tried to always grind on orange items for the skill up and as I got into silk I made sure to always (when possible) craft green items for DE purposes. Here is the list.

1-35: bolt of linen cloth
35-45: linen cloak
45-60: heavy linen gloves
60-82: reinforced linen cap
82-103: bolt of wool cloth
103-110: grey wool ? (I didn’t write it down…lol)
110-118: woolen cape
118-125: white woolen dress
125-145: Bolt of silk cloth
145-157: Azure silk hood
160-170: silk headband
170-175: formal white shirt
175-185: bolt of mageweave
185-205: green silken shoulders
205-220: black mageweave legs
220-225: black mageweave gloves

And there you have it. 0-225 tailoring in under 12 hours and it didn’t cost a dime. In fact, if you include all the stuff I DE’d I MADE about 30g profit from the grind.

ENJOY!!

General Acme Part 3-User Interface

By admin On December 1, 2008 No Comments

So you decided to enter the vast kingdom of Azeroth? You may wonder
how do I level? How do I make money to afford gear and skills? How do
I use the interface that they provide? Well here is a guide to follow!
Just follow some of the simple strategies I’ve laid out for you and
you’ll do just fine!

# Part XI-PVP and Raids-Covered in Part 4

# Part IX- Using the Interface/Controls-

World of Warcraft has a very easy to use interface, I have found out
of all interfaces I’ve used World of Warcraft has been the easiest to
adapt to! World of Warcraft also uses a WASD(First person shooter
movement) style movement for easy adaptation after clocking in long
hours of Counterstrike. They have it in clear view and your not going
to need to read the manual to get started with this game!
# For your UI, I suggest grabbing a UI mod such as
http://cosmosui.org which I am 100% comfortable with.
Cosmos is easy to use and legal to use unlike most UI modifiers in
other games. While using cosmos they have incorporated adding a second
bar for the mages and priests out there who just don’t seem to have
enough space!

* Cosmos has incorporated games into its UI also so while
your traveling or waiting for a buddy to sign up you could play a
little Tic Tack Toe or Four in a row.
* For the fishers out there (great for making money) They have
incorporated a easy fishing which you right click to cast and fast
cast which you will cast as soon as you reel something in!
* For my Healers out there, they have a HUD (Heads up Display) that
keeps you current on your team member’s health and your health so you
don’t have to glance to the left side of the screen.
* For everyone they have put in a mod that tells you your experience
per hour at your current level, you’re current experience per hour
this session. It also tells you the average time till next level after
collecting the data from everyone else that has completed that
level(Must be using most recent version AKA alpha not even beta which
crashes a lot just to warn you).
* You can also upload your equipment profile to thottbot (
http://www.thottbot.com ) to view it online here is
Stifler’s(http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?p=Stifler.Bleeding_Hollow]
<a href="http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?p=Stifler.Bleeding_Hollow" target="_blank">http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?p=Stifler.Bleeding_Hollow</a>) I do
not use this mod due to how it is unstable at times when looting a new
item and can bog down your system performance.
* Last but not least one great reason to get cosmos is for /gotocorpse for those of you lazy like me I hate making a corpse run! Cosmos incorporated that neat little command which will run you to your corpse for you!

# The regular UI is also great for those of you who are scared of using a UI modifier. It is also easy to use and is easy to set up for those who have never played a MMORPG and may have stuck to FPS.
# The regular UI has basic components which include the Action bar, the Character portrait, the Experience Meter, latency bar (Ping), and the mini-map.

* The Action bar which is used for casting or using certain skills is located in the lower left hand corner of your screen. For quick casting use keys 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,-,= or basically the top row of your keyboard! I suggest memorizing where you put what for convenience while in battles.
* The Character portrait can tell you important things like your current health and Mana/Rage/Energy which is very important while waging your epic wars so you do not have to make a corpse run!
* The experience meter is another great thing that World of Warcraft has in an extremely convenient place. Whether you’re about to log out and you want to check how much experience you have to go before your next level or your mid run it is only a glance a way no needing to open up your character screen!
* Then you have the latency bar, not much to say but this can quickly decide if it is worth staying on! Green is for go in my mind, yellow is for okay but take caution and red is for forget it I’ll be on xbox if you need me!
* Last but certainly not least you have the mini-map, first let’s look at the word mini which means small and map which means basically an object used for navigation. The mini-map doesn’t take up your whole screen and make it easy to follow group members.
* Wrap Up-Make your UI work for you not the other way around, Cosmos is a great interface with a lot of ways to customize it!
