Super Power Lvl Tailor 0-225 In Under 12 Hours (Mmoshop)

By admin On December 31, 2009 No Comments

Hello all you budding tailors out there, this is a guide from 0 to 225 tailoring in under 12 hours without spending a single dime (should even come out a bit ahead). This came about as a way for my retired priest to generate some money since skinning was doing me no good sitting in IF all day. I decided to make a guide out of this and set a few goals for myself at the same time. I betmyself I could get to 150 in 6 hrs TOTAL time including collecting the mats. That worked out so well, I figured I’d go for 225 in 8 hours (that didnt work out so well because of the MASSIVE amounts of silk needed). This is equally friendly for BOTH factions.

There are some prerequisits so lets start there shall we?

REQUIRED

High level main (preferabley 60)
Alt that is at least 20 (your tailor)
12 hours of play time

MY SET UP

60 Rogue main (farmer)
45 Priest (tailor)
My rogue is also an enchanter for DEing all the green drops to save on bag space/down time.

THE STRAT

0-120 minutes

I started out in The Barrens at Agama Gor grinding on level 17-20 Bristlebacks. I chose here becasue of the sheer numbers of mobs in a reletively small area. Also, because of their level, I knew they would drop both linen AND wool. This proved to be a huge key in the success of this strat. I stayed here for exactly 2 hours with about 15 minutes of AFK for bathroom, booze and kids. In 105 minutes of solid grinding I collected the following items.

Gold: 1g 43s
Cloth: 7.11 stacks
Wool: 6.15 stacks
Greens: 17
Patterns: 3 (including elixir of giant growth formula..sells for about 30g on my server to Alliance)
DE: 22 soul dust, 9 greater magic essence, 1 sm glimmering shard, 2 lesser astral essence

120-140 minutes

IF to empty bags and send cloth/wool to tailor

140-200 minutes

Raven Hill Cemetary ***NOTE: it was a mistake to come here, very inefficient
I just did repeated laps in the catacombs killing alll the level 26-30 undead in there. I ran into some competition which slowed me down a bit so I left after only an hour.

Gold: 1g 89s
Wool: 2.1 stacks
Silk: 3.10 stacks
Greens: 8
DE: 3 greater astral essence, 4 greater magic essence, 8 soul dust, 2 moonstone

Not happy with my silk production I headed to STV since it was close by. Here I found silk heaven.

200-320 minutes

Ruins of Zul’ Kunda (just West of Nessingwary’s Expedition)

This place is just huge and crawling with level 33-36 trolls who are silk machines. I stayed here for about 2 hours like I did in The Barrens and it paid off nicely.

Gold: 2g 78s
Wool: 2.2 stacks
Silk: 7.2 stacks
Greens: 2
DE: 3 lesser mystic essence

320-330 minutes

IF to send wool/silk and log for the evening. So in 5 1/2 hours I collected the following items

Cloth: 7.11 stacks
Wool: 10.17 stacks
Silk: 10.12 stacks of silk
Greens: 27

330-400 minutes

Crafting at IF and SW

At around 160 or 165 two things became GLARINGLY aparent. 1: the silk part of tailor SUCKS and 2: I needed more silk. Back to the rogue I went and back to STV for more trolls.

400-460 minutes

Ruins of Zul’ Kunda (part 2)
Wool: 1.1stacks
Silk: 5.5 stacks
Greens: 0

460-610 minutes

Hoping that was enough silk to get me to mageweave (it was…barely) I headed off to Tanaris for some Ogre raping. Dune Maul Ogres level 45-47 for decent mageweave producers but Im sure there is a better source out there. In just under 2.5 hours of grinding them I came up with the following goodies.

Silk:2.18 stacks
Mageweave: 5.17 stacks
Greens: 2
DE: 1 greater eternal essence, 2 lesser eternal essence

Then I packed it in and headed to IF to mail the stuff and log.

The last little bit of time I spent was crafting (about 1 hour) and it took me right up to 225 with a few scraps of wool, silk and mageweave left over. Total time: Approximately 11 hours and 45 minutes.

Now for the grind portion. What good is a collecting strat without a grind strat to go with it. I tried to always grind on orange items for the skill up and as I got into silk I made sure to always (when possible) craft green items for DE purposes. Here is the list.

1-35: bolt of linen cloth
35-45: linen cloak
45-60: heavy linen gloves
60-82: reinforced linen cap
82-103: bolt of wool cloth
103-110: grey wool ? (I didn’t write it down…lol)
110-118: woolen cape
118-125: white woolen dress
125-145: Bolt of silk cloth
145-157: Azure silk hood
160-170: silk headband
170-175: formal white shirt
175-185: bolt of mageweave
185-205: green silken shoulders
205-220: black mageweave legs
220-225: black mageweave gloves

And there you have it. 0-225 tailoring in under 12 hours and it didn’t cost a dime. In fact, if you include all the stuff I DE’d I MADE about 30g profit from the grind.

ENJOY!!

BCC Level 1-60 in 4 days (Joana’s leveling guide)

By admin On December 30, 2009 No Comments

Alliance 1-60 Guide
* NOT A NEWBIE FRIENDLY GUIDE *
* ONLY USE IF YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY WOW *
————————

This guide has been proven to work; 1-60 in 4 days
of /played time, NOT 4 days literally; just so you
don t !@#$%^&* about it.

=============

Profession – powerleveling 300/300 -

Obviously everyone has a different way to do it and mine is not the best,
or the most efficient way to do it. But here are a few things we did to level :

1a. For speed leveling – you should not be afraid to fight when you are in
low hp/mana. we kept pulling on our Shaman until we was down to about 10%
hp and 10% Mana. That cuts down on med time.

1b. The key is to grind on mobs that are 1 or 2 lvls above you and
complete quests while you are doing this

2. You’re going spend tons on food/water/bandages

3a. for casters, buy good wands every few levels. Get cookie’s stirring rod
from VC and buy the rest as you go. Maybe a new wand every 5-7 levels.
That way you can cut down on med time by wanding the mob when it is at
10% health so you can naturally start to regen mana

3b. for melee – bandage ,bandage, bandage and buy good weapons every
few levels

3c. if you can afford it, pimp yourself out (caster get +dmg gear, melee
get +attack power gear) the harder you hit, the faster things die, the
faster you get xp. Even that means you spend more time sitting down
eating/drinking (that only takes 15 seconds max)

Here s what to do:

The Times listed are w/out rested XP

Human/Gnome/Dwarf
Nooby zone (1 – 6.5) – yes, get to 6.5 … that means killing just a handful
of extra mobs. If you are just grinding and doing quests this should take
you 1hr

** now go to IF or SW and pick up skinning (this will help offset the costs
of buying your gear and buying food/water) Highly recommend that you
spend 20g and get yourself 4 runecloth bags. In order to power level
yourself you can’t be going back to town to sell things every hour

Outside IF/SW (6.5-11) – pick one (don’t go between SW and IF cuz that
takes way too long) you’re going to need to grind a bit but this will take
you 3-4 hrs of played time (again, no chatting is involved here … typing
just slows down your DPS and slows down your leveling) ^_^

Loch Modan (11-13) – the first few quests here are easy to do. Kill spiders,
bears, boars. Kill little kobolds. Kill trolls. You can skin and get cloth to
make bandages. 2 hrs played

Westfall (13-16) – Complete all the level 12 quests and then grind on the
Harvest Golem/Watchers near the north part of Westfall. There should be 3
farms that have level 11-13 mobs. Then grind on the higher level ones on
the West until you hit 16. While you’re running around the farms, grinding
on these mobs – complete the other westfall quests. 4 hrs played

*be sure to do the defias brother hood quests

*don’t forget to pick up the quest ‘dry times’ and start buying the alcohol
form the different places

Loch Modan (16-1) Cool – come back here and do a few more quests. You
should be able to complete them quickly since you are such high level.
Don’t forget the quests in the digging site to the east and the other building
all the way in the southeast corner (i forget the name of it) 4 hrs played

Redridge (18-20) quest, quest, quest and grind on Murlocks or the
Kobolds (forget what they are called but they are all over the mountains to
the north) 4 hrs played

**DING ** have someone run you through the Deadmines 2-4 times (until
you get some nice gear) 2 hrs played

You should now be at 1 day /played

Redridge (21-23) – quest and grind on Orcs on the north east part of RR 4
hrs played

WETLANDS (23-25) – quest/grind on murlocks, crocs, the undead pirates,
the invisible dudes that walk in the river, the gnolls, etc (do not do the Orc
quests yet) 4 hrs played

Darkshire (25-2) Quest, quest, quest – the wolf guys, the comb quest,
the Undeads in the cemetery, etc, etc 5 hrs played

**find a kind soul to take you to the stockades (do all the quests there in
one run, not worth it to get gear)

Wetlands (28.5-30) – do the orc quests, raptor quests and then grind it out
on either one (Orcs if you need bandages, raptors if you want skins) 5 hrs
played

*if you can, find someone to help you with the last few Darkshire quest
(morbent fel, etc)

Hillsbrad Foothills (30-31.5) – these quest are probably green to you (if
they are grey and not part of a chain, skip them). You should be able to
kill Nagas and Murlocks on the south and get good xp. You can also do the
defias quests really quick. 2 hrs played

Alterac Mountains (31.5-33) – grind in the cave to the north (on the way to
AV) and then yetis … just grind 6 hrs played

**DING you should be at 2 days /played** (maybe a little more if you
have been chatting it up

Arathi Highlands (33-35) – some quick quests here – you can grind on Orcs
or trolls

**at this time, have someone take you to SM and do some quests there. If
they can, run you through until you get some nice gear (class dependent
obviously) and you should be able to get a level or two from there.
Ideally, they would run you through the whole thing 4 hrs played –
obviously you may not find someone to dedicate 4 hrs for you, so go to
STV and start your quests there too …

STV (34-40) – let us break this one down for you

**the key here is to pick up as many quests as you can, and complete
them all before turning them in. STV is FULL of chain quests. Kurzen camp
quests, Mastery quests, Troll tribes, etc**

(34-35) your first set of quests should get you a full level. Grind as much
as you can in the kurzen camp since its usually safe from ganking

(35-37) troll tribes (getting the tablets) and 2nd series of masteries and
the geologist co quests.

**@ 37 go to STV and pick up quests there

(37-40) singing blue shards, apes, raptors, tigers, panthers and troll
tooths? or whatever it is you need to collect from trolls. 20 hrs played

**if at any point you get tired of STV, go back to Arathi or if you really
hate grinding, go to Desolace or even Badlands

**or if you find someone nice, they’ll take you to gnomeragan **

**DING – go buy your mount** /played 3 days

***We’ll stop posting how much time it should take you so no one will get
depressed and hurt themselves but it slows down a lot from this point on,
now you really need to start buying that +dmg +ap gear***

(from this point on 40-50 should be about 4 hrs per level on average and
50-60 should be about 5-6 hrs per level)

(plus the levels specified from this point on are more strict, for example – I
wouldn’t recommend going to sorrow hill before you are 50 cuz its not
efficient – same thing for Un’Goro before level 52)

Alterac Mountains (40-42) – Ogres (non elite) + humanoids (quest/grind)

Tanaris (42-45) – wasteland wanderers (grind, grind, grind) – get water
pouches and just grind. Trust us on this, you need to start grinding some
or you’ll run out of quests and get stuckin between zones)

STV (45-46.5) – finish the quests here (pirates, Zanzil secret/Nagas, apes,
etc)

Tanaris (46.5-4Cool – Ogres (again grind, grind, grind) – you can pick up
quests in Tanaris and complete them if you want, but its faster to just grind
right now

Searing Gorge (48-50) – quests are fast and grinding is easy. Don’t bother
getting the searing gorge key … you’ll never run through that door …

Western Plaguelands (50-51) – sorrow hill – Chillwind point.

**I know this place is super camped so if you can’t find pulls there, go
back to Searing Gorge or Feralas (there is a repeatable quest there on the
shore (right after you take the boat the little goblin there gives it)) or
even Azshara (but watch out for the farmers there!)

Felwood (51-52) – some quests, some grinding. Don’t bother doing the
quests in the north by the cave that leads to Winterspring. Just do
whatever is green/yellow so that would be the first Furlbog quests +
Jadenar + whatever other quests you pick up from the south part of
Felwood

Un’Goro (52-54) – Bring your Mithril casing! (2 escort quests + lots of kill
quests + some travel back and forth between here and Tanaris)

**its important that you grind whatever part of your level is left

WPL (54-55) – finish quests here (cauldrons + scarlet + whatever else you
can find) and then grind

Azshara – Felwood (55-56) – GRIND! or do whatever quests you still
haven’t done here (you could grind on Ogres in Burning Steppes too)

Winterspring (56-57) – quests + grinding (you might want to go to
Darnassus first, in the Therussian village you can pick up a quest for
Azshara and another for Winterspring)

Burning Steppes (57-5Cool – quests + grinding on Ogres/Orcs/dragons

EPL (58-59) – lots of good quests here, just that you run into the occasional
horde party going to Strath

Silithus (59-60) – tons of good quests, just hard to do cuz of the entire
uber guild going to farm the texts and AQ

**again, this guide shows a lot of grinding but its helpful if you stay in one
zone until you level.**

30-40 Gresting (grind quest) Horde (Lothar gold)

By admin On December 28, 2009 No Comments

30-40 can be a real pain in the ass, as quests dry up pretty quickly, and then you’re forced to migrate to another area, which may be near or far.

30-32 -
Finish up your Tarren Mill quests, then grab the Rod of Heracular quest from the undead apprentice in the graveyard beside the ruined church. Then head over

to the Darrow Cave and grind the living crap out of those yetis. Before I got the rod, I was level 33 and the Yeti’s still yielded good exp. Turn the rod

quest in for a suitable 2100-3000 exp and continue the chain if you want.

32-34 -
I fluctuated between STV and Arathi for these. Start the Mok’Thardin quest chain in Grom’gol, as you’ll be working towards it for the next 6 levels. In

Arathi, do the Guile of the Raptor quests. 37 raptors should be no problem for you if you handle them right.

34-36 -
I was mainly in STV here, grinding away at the STV bloodscalp quests. I had 4 which required me to kill, kill and kill. From those 4 and the 2 hours of

grinding it took to get the items, I was 36. Fastest two levels for a long time.

36-38 -
Continue expaning on with the Nesingwary hunting quests, dont bother with the Green Hills quests, the rewards arent worth nearly as much as the time and

effort you put into it. However, if you’re really interested, go grind the goblin geologists over near Lake Nazerfeti (or something like that). I had two 16

slot bags full just with pages, sold majority for around 1g each while I did a quest i picked up in the BB tavern near the FP.

38-40 -
38 wasnt so bad, as I finished the Mok’Thardin and the Nesingwary chains, getting a decent set from the reward. I mainly just grinded on ogres for the 6 or

so bubbles which remained afterwards. 39, however, is one of the longest grinds (or so it felt) i’ve had for a long time. I tried jungle stalkers and SM

runs. Jungle stalkers were okay, but without rest the grind is a long one, and you’ll often find yourself at the wrong side of a claw/blade. I got ganked a

total number of 89 while I grinded this level, and it took me 7h and 15m to finish it.

A few quick notes about grinding:

When moving to these areas, make sure you pick up the migration quests (such as the Desolace one who gives you a horn to take to Nesingwary, which starts

that chain effectively) as they yield anywhere from 200 exp to a whopping 3000 exp (nearly 2 whole bubbles at 34).

Also, invest in enhancement potions. Elixirs of Greater <insert skill here>> are a great way to add DPS and reduce downtime. 5g for 5 EoGA knocked about 2 hours off my grinding with the quite decent 7dps buff it gave.

Everytime you visit a town, refill your ammo/knives, whatever. It isnt worth breaking the rhythm of a good grind because something broke or you’re out of ammo.

Only ever pick up kill or gather from kill quests. Migration are okay, but take them just as you’re done with that area.

Dustwallow Marsh is a waste of time.

Shaman Totem Guide (Burning blade gold)

By admin On December 27, 2009 No Comments

Well seeming as i play a shaman. And i have a 60 shaman, i thought i would give a totem guide. How you get all the saptas to be able to use your totems.
Well here goes :)

1. Call of Earth
(A) Earth Sapta
Go into the Brambleblade Ravine, it’s the thorny cave area in the southeast corner
of Mulgore. Fight through and kill shamans until they drop the water. Take the
water back to your trainer and get the Earth Sapta.
(B) Kodo Rock
Take the Earth Sapta to Kodo Rock, east of Narache. It’s a relatively small,
monolith-looking thing (it looks like a column from Stonehenge). Right-click the
Earth Sapta to drink it once you’re there, and talk to the elemental that appears.
He’ll give you a piece of quartz.
Earth Totem
Return to your trainer with the quartz and enjoy your Earth Totem.
2. Call of Fire (Level 10)
(A) Kranal Fiss
He’s in a small building northeast of the Crossroads on the Grol’dam Farm. Note
that as you head north out of the Crossroads, you’ll see a small building and a
tower on the road. This is NOT where Kranal Fiss is. Go north beyond that, the
road will split to the north and to the east. Head northeast at this point, you’ll see
the farm, with two buildings. Fiss is in the far building. He’ll tell you to talk to Telf
Joolam in Durotar, and give you the Torch of the Dormant Flame.
(B) Telf Joolam
From Grol’dam Farm, follow the road east out of the Barrens into Durator. You’ll
cross a Bridge over the Southfury River. As soon as you cross the bridge, turn
south and follow the east shore of the river. Travel a few minutes until you run
into the mountains. There is a winding path up the mountain, it’s somewhat hard
to see and follow, and it’s very narrow. At one point it appears to be a sheer dropoff
dead-end, but it’s not. Step carefully. When you reach the top, Telf is there,
and when you speak to him, he will tell you to get some Fire Tar and a Reagent
Pouch.
Reagent Pouch
Go back north from Telf’s mountain until you reach the road, and then follow it
east to Razor Hill. Once there, travel north but do not enter the ravine, head to the
right side of the path up the hill. Keep moving north until you see a cave with
some Burning Blade mobs in it. Fight your way in until you see Burning Blade
Cultists (the ones with the imp pets). Kill them until you get your Reagent Pouch.
Only the Cultists drop the pouch, so don’t waste your time on fanatics or
neophytes.
(D) Fire Tar
Go back towards the Crossroads (south to Razor Hill, west to Southfury River,
west towards Crossroads). Northeast of the Crossroads (but south of the road to
Durator, south/southeast of the farm where Fiss is) you’ll find Thorn Hill.
Razormane camps line the entirety of the ridge. In the eastern-most camp (the
one with the chests for the supplies quest, if you’re doing it) you will find
Razormane Geomancers. Kill them until you get the Fire Tar. Geomancers are the
only ones that drop it, target them. This camp is right at the top of the hill as
you’re heading west from the Southfury Bridge, just south of the road.
(E) Back to Telf
Take your tar and pouch back to Telf. He will give you the Fire Sapta. Head up the
hill past him until you reach the rock shrine. You must defeat a level 12-13
elemental and loot an ember from his corpse. He’s a piece of cake, the standard
Shaman approach to solo combat will make short work of him (drop your
stoneskin totem, melee and shock him to death, bring a heal potion if you’re
worried). He drops an ember, take it and the torch you got from Fiss to the brazier
next to where the elemental spawned, light the torch.
(F) Back to Fiss
Take your Torch of the Eternal Flame back to Kranal Fiss in the Barrens to get your
Fire Totem.
3. Call of Water – Level 20
This quest is ridiculous, have your Ghost Wolf purchased and on your hotbar, you’ll
be glad you did. It will also benefit you to strategically bind to reduce travel time.
Recommendations for how to do this are included.
*Note – I happened to accidentally fall into Dustwallow Marsh while exploring the
mountains in southeastern Barrens before doing this quest, and I managed to find
the ogre village (Blackenwall or something) in there and pick up the flight route to
it. This ended up saving me a TON of walking time later, as I could fly to that
village and take a short jog out of the Marsh that dumps you out right near Brine’s
shack (see step B). The trouble with this approach is that the critters in
Dustwallow are hellacious at this level, I got lucky. If you’re brave or stupid, give
this a shot. Head into Dustwallow from the normal entrance in southeastern
Barrens and follow the road until you hit the ogre camp, then pick up the flight
route, it cuts out that nasty long run down from Crossroads.
(A) Islen Waterseeker
Go speak to Islen Waterseeker in the Barrens. She is near the water at the
merchant coast, south of Ratchet, north of the docked Bloodsail ship. Her hut is
hard to see, it’s behind a big hill. If you look on the world map there’s a little
finger that juts out into the water just south of Ratchet, that’s where she is. She
will tell you to talk to Brine in South Barrens.
(B) Brine
She is in a Tauren shack up on a ridge on the southwest side of the Barrens, just
south of the Field of Giants, north of Razorfen Kraul (it’s closer to Thousand
Needles than it is to Taurejo). Lots of level 20-24 roaming aggros in here. Ghost
Wolf and dodge them. She has a few things for you to do, first you must collect a
water sample from the pool of water just outside her hut. Do it and return.
Tarren Mill
Next you have to go to Tarren Mill. That’s right, in Hillsbrad. Eastern Kingdoms.
Before you do this, Ghost Wolf and run up to Taurejo, and bind at the Inn there.
Then run to Crossroads and catch the flight to Orgrimmar, and take the Zeppelin
to Undercity.
If you’ve never been to Orgrimmar, go back to Razor Hill (you went through it in
your Fire Sapta quest), and then just head due north, you’ll run into it eventually.
Go in and head for the big tower in the center of the first valley. At the top is the
flight master, pick up the flight route, then head back outside and go east. The
zeppelin platform is there. There are two zeppelin routes that dock here, one goes
to Undercity, that’s the one you want. Talk to the goblin zeppelin masters to see
where each flight goes. The zeppelins arrive every five minutes or so, simply hop
on when they arrive, and hop off when they dock in the Eastern Kingdoms.
(If you use the Dustwallow Ogre Village approach, bind there instead of in Taurejo,
if there’s an inn. I didn’t think of this when I was doing the quest so I didn’t
check).
Get the bat route in Undercity if you don’t have it, then head past Undercity into
Silverpine (southwest from Undercity). You can follow the roads on the world map
to figure out how to get to Hillsbrad, it’s pretty easy. But! Stop at Sepulcher first
and get the bat route there. You’ll be coming back here at the end of the quest to
drink the Water Sapta.
Then head to Hillsbrad. It’s a contested zone with lots of stuff that’ll be a bit rough
on you, ghost wolf and stay on the road. At the time of this writing (12/07/04),
Alliance activity is insanely heavy in Hillsbrad on my server and they’ve got a
massive level advantage. You’ll need speed and some luck. When you get to
Tarren Mills, fill your water flask at the well and then get the bat route here, too.
Use your hearthstone to warp to Taurejo (or Dustwallow), then Ghost Wolf and run
back to Brine.
(D) Ashenvale Water
Now you must fill your final sample. This one can be a hassle. Go to Ashenvale.
Ghost Wolf yourself and stick close to the road. Keep your eyes peeled for Alliance
people. If you’re in wolf form, you’re likely to be able to outrun most of your
trouble.
Follow the road until it splits, take a left (west) and stay on the the road. You will
eventually run into another fork. One way leads to a less formal path (not on the
world map), the other leads to Astranaar. You don’t really want to tangle with the
level 40 sentinels in Astranaar, so take the unmarked path (south). It will take you
to the Ruins of Stardust. The fountain is on an island in the center, which is
guarded by level 22-23 swamp elementals (some are casters). Bring a friend if
you have trouble. Fight to the foutnain, get the sample, go back to Brine.
Ashenvale is also frequently populated with Alliance, be prepared for some
fisticuffs.
Optionally, on your way back, you can go east at the first fork you took and get
the wyvern route at Splintertree, and fly to the Crossroads from there. If you have
the Dustwallow route, you can hopscotch your way down there (fly to Crossroads
and then to Dustwallow) and skip all the running.
(E) Water Sapta
Brine will give you a sample of the purest water. Take that to Islen Waterseeker
and she will give you the Water Sapta and some of the last drops of purest water.
When I did this, the quests got a little tangled up and confused and I kept getting
‘duplicate item’ errors, but they can be ignored as long as you have your Water
Sapta. Islan also gives you the last remaning drops of pure water (double check
and make sure you have these, this is the #1 thing I see people reporting that
didn’t go right when they did the quest). Now you go back to Sepulcher. At this
point, I made a pit stop in Ratchet and bound there, so I could warp straight back
to Ratchet once I was done in Sepulcher. Your hearthstone may not have reset if
you do all this quickly enough. It took me two shots at the Ashenvale Fountain due
to interference from Alliance goons so my stone had reset. Bind in Ratchet if you
want, then go to Crossroads, fly to Orgrimmar, and ride the zeppelin back to
Undercity in the Eastern Kingdoms.
Run into Undercity and take the bat to Sepulcher (aren’t you glad I made you stop
and pick it up?). Now head west past Sepulcher – it looks like there’s nothing back
there, but there is, keep working at it. You want to go due west from Sepulcher
until you get to the coast. The water shrine is there. Drink the Sapta at the shrine
and the corrupt elemental appears (he’s a pushover, even if he’s got a few levels
on you – drop your Searing Totem and a Stoneskin Totem, have a heal potion
ready just in case, get out your Rockbiter Weapon and have at him).
The elemental drops some bracers. Place those and the pure water in the brazier
and a friendly elemental appears. Talk to him and get a shard of water. If your
hearthstone has reset, activate it to warp to Ratchet and then jog south to Islen.
Otherwise, enjoy the zeppelin ride back.
(F) Water Totem
Finally, Islen gives you the Water Totem. Exhale gladly, this is the most annoying
of the totem quests, and you’re now done with it.
4. Call of Air – Level 30
(A) Air Totem
This is the easiest of the quests, and I highly suspect that it won’t remain in this
form forever. Talk to your trainer (for Taurens, it’s the sleeping guy in Thunder
Bluff on Spirit Rise). You’ll be told to head for Thousand Needles and speak to an
NPC. Chances are that you’ve already been in Thousand Needles. If not, go south
of where Brine is, take the lift down, and follow the road southeast to Freewind
Post, get the wyvern route here, and then head northeast. There’s a cave along
the northern wall with a ramp leading up to it (there’s actually two caves on the
northern wall, you want the eastern-most cave). The NPC is right outside. There’s
an NPC with a fun quest inside too that opens up a series of more quests, serveral
of which are not fun at all but decent XP.
Speak to the NPC outside and she just hands over the Air Totem, implying that
she’ll have further training for you later.

Cheers
Drunkie

Grinding Guide 1-20 The Efficient Way (Strategy guide)

By admin On December 26, 2009 No Comments

In an attempt to share my experiences and maybe help some others level a bit faster I will share what I done to get to level 50 in about 2 weeks real life. I couldn’t tell you how much played time it is cause I leave my character logged on for hours while Im afk. But I do know that I was gaining levels very fast when playing. At 40+ I had gotten at least 2 levels a day.

Keep in mind this is for Alliance as I have never played a horde so some of these areas you will be able to grind with both some you will not.

First and foremost Iv said this before and ill say it again GET FAMILIAR WITH www.thottbot.com and use it constantly, it is your best friend for grinding. Learn how to use the quest finder to your advantage. When you walk into a new area go to thottbot.com and select find>> quest then check quest starts in and check your zone and your side. If you like you can check your level. Now browse through these quest and soon as you find one you will be doing click on it and it shows a name of the npc giving that quest, check the map button beside him and it shows his spawn location. This will make it easy to find him. Browse through the quest seeing which ones you will be grabbing and go get them all. Now determine where you need to go to finish those and do them at same time while your heading out. If you don’t know where an item of objective is located for a quest don’t worry thottbot.com shows you that also. For example we will take a look at Buzzbox 411 [url}http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?q=447. Now you can see that you need 3 thresher eyes so click on the blue text that says thresher eyes http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?q=447 . Now your looking at all the creatures that drop this quest item but pay attention to the drop rate. Notice the higher level ones do not drop this item because it is intended to be done at lower levels so find the level range that has the highest drop rate and then click on the blue text map beside the name and now you have spawn points of the creatures you need to kill to get this quest item. If your quest objective is say to find something like Washed ashore http://thottbot.com/index.cgi?q=238 no sweat because you use the same technique to find out where the bones are located. Click on the blue text “Sea Creature Bones:” now it will bring up a list of things keep in mind some of these are from the beta and are no longer in the game so look at kills , this signifies which one is being used the most lately this push. Now click on map beside it and you have the location of this item. I know some of you already know this but I just wanted to explain to those who didn’t. Please learn to use this because its very important if your trying to fly through quest fast.

Levels 1-10: Ok this is a no brainer and should only take you 4 hours to get level 10. Start out by doing the “Kill this # of creatures then come back” kind of quest. No matter what just do those grinding quick quest until level 5 and head out to next town. Don’t stick around to finish those other grinding quest at the starting locatin because your only getting minimal exp for doing it and mob level is so low its not worth the time past level 5. At the 2nd town grab your next set of missions and start grinding them, it should go pretty fast and you should be 10 in no time. Make sure to use thottbot, com ahead of time to make sure you get all the quest you can in the area to make it go faster.

Level 11-17 Ok you have many options to zones and where to level but I like to go to auberdine. Auberdine has some great quest here that can be done fast by doing many at the same time while grinding through mobs. You will basicly make a big circle around a few times getting you to level 17 fairly quickly and getting you some decent items and money.

Here goes… Grab these missions first in auberdine.

10 Return to Nessa Alliance – this one is the 2nd in a line of quest you actually get that in Rutheran village in darnassus so head there first get it fly here turn in get this one fly back and finish for easy 2000k exp.

10 Buzzbox 827 Alliance
12 Bashal’Aran Alliance
12 Tools of the Highborne Alliance
12 Easy Strider Living Alliance – believe you need to be cook to get this, easy 1000k exp

12 The Red Crystal
13 Washed Ashore Alliance
14 How Big a Threat? Alliance
14 Plagued Lands
16 For Love Eternal Alliance
16 Beached Sea Creature Alliance
17 Cave Mushrooms Alliance

Ok this should be all the quest available in town upon landing there. Grab them all and you can start doing them all at once while making your rounds grinding on mobs. Check thottbot and get an idea where each quest requires you to go. The first one you will do is Buzzbox 827 and Beached Sea Creature Alliance cause they are both little south of auberdine. Finish those 2 and head out on dock , face west and run off the dock that heads to Menethil harbor and swim straight forward and grab the bones for the 2nd quest in the Beached Sea Creature series. Now turn that in and head north you can finish the next buzzbox quest , Bashal’Aran at the same time. And before coming home grab a rabid thistle bear and turn that quest in. Now go ahead and finish The Red Crystal quest series as its very easy to do quickly, its located directly east of Auberdine , check thottbot.com for locations. Great now head south a bit and do the first quest in series of How Big a Threat? There is a furlbolg camp directly south of Auberdine. After doing that head on south till you reach Ameth Aran. Grab the 12 The Fall of Ameth’Aran quest and head on in and finish these quest while you’re here… The Fall of Ameth’Aran , For Love Eternal, Tools of the Highborne, Bashal’Aran(burn the ancient moonseal while you’re here). Now head back to Auberdine and turn those in. Now grab 15 The Cliffspring River if you don’t have it yet and head out north. While your going start doing the next buzzbox quest by killing collecting Moonstalker teeth and kill rabid bears on the way to complete that quest. After doing the buzzbox quest and getting all the bears killed and water head back to Auberdine. Now get the quest 18 The Tower of Althalaxx and 18 The Blackwood Corrupted , fill up the bowl with moonwater and head up north to the river. Just north of the river is the tower , you can now talk to they buy by the big rock by the road and finish that quest, head south a bit afterwards and east along the river you will find a cave, finish the 17 Cave Mushrooms quest. Now head out and south a bit further you will be at the furlbolg camp and you can finish The Blackwood Corrupted quest. After doing that quest you can now head south just a abit behind one of the camps to the east is a cave up on the mountain where you can finish the quest 18 Tharnariun’s Hope and kill the Den mother. Great now you have got all those done head back to Auberdine , turn them in and grab the Quest 17 Onu and head down south to the Grove of the Ancients. Speak to Onu and grab the quest for Twilight Camp, this is by the way one of the easiest quest iv ever done, and you get a huge chunk of exp for this. Head south west a bit start killing grizzled bears on the way to finish the last of the buzzbox quest series and head on south west until you reach Twilight camp, run down by the table place the scrying bowl ,finish that quest and then grab a page from the book on the right and head out around the building you will see a dryad hiding in the bushes, help you escape for another easy quest and once your back on the road finish buzzbox on the way north its located right south of bridge near Grove of Ancients. Turn in the page to Onu and he will give you another quest which you will not be able to do until 20. At this point you will have done most quest you have and should be around level 17-18 and you want be able to do any more quest around here because they are all around 20.

17-20 For the next part in our leveling we will head on over to Loch Modan so head to Auberdine, catch ship to Menethil harbor and fly to Loch Modan or Iron forge and walk there. Once your there head to Thelsanaar. Once there grab 15 Excavation Progress Report Alliance and head over to the Excavation site. This site is a great place to grind it out until 20. Go ahead and finish that series of quest there and just camp that place and grind it out till 20 or Head south east to the lodge and do those hunting quest for some nice experience. Either way this will get you to 20 fairly quickly and we are ready for the next set of quests.

Ok for now this is all I will do, ill try to get a 20-30 up soon but I hope this helps for now. Using just this techinique you can do this in any zone really, just remember to use thottbot.com if your in hurry to do quest fast.

One of the most important things you need to remember is don’t be in such a hurry to do quest that you dodge mobs on the way. Take your time walking through quest and kill everything on the way. Make efficient use of your time, if your walking to a quest make sure you getting experience for it. Get experience while getting the quest done by grinding out mobs and then bonus experience for turning it in. After you have done all the quest in an area , don’t be afraid to grind out a few levels so you can get the next series of quest started. Some people walk for hours looking for quest to do when they could have leveled by then grinding on mobs, and getting some good money at same time.

So until next time I hope you all enjoy this tutorial and hopefull it helps out some people. I will be doing a series of these all the way to 60.

Crafting Leatherworking 200-300 (Draenor gold)

By admin On December 25, 2009 No Comments

This came out of a response to another thread and ended up being a detailed grinding guide. I hope this helps you struggling LWs out there. I know I wish I had it when I was wallowing in the mid 200s.

200-220(ish) Thick armor kits http://www.thottbot.com/?i=4617

215-230 Big Voodoo Robe http://www.thottbot.com/?i=4064
Youre going to have to buy the pattern but it really shouldn’t be that expenisve. A few stacks of armor kits will cover it easily. To make these, you need flasks of mojo. Back in the days of grinding LW I was stupid and didn’t know where to get these. Well, Hinterlands trolls GIVE these things away like Halloween candy. The beauty of this is that you can grind on the turtles at the shore line (and collect scales too) then for a switch you can beat on trolls for awhile and get mojo all without changing zones.

ALTERNATE OPTION

220-235 Tough Scorpid Bracers http://www.thottbot.com/?i=7601
If youre not into the whole mountains and oceans theme but would rather climb sand dunes and bake in the sun, these are for you. Tanaris and Burning Steppes scorpions drop these at a decent rate and are plentiful. Burning Steppes has a better drop rate but you need to be in your mid 50s to get them.

Life gets MUCH easier from here…for awhile

230-245 Nightscape Pants http://www.thottbot.com/?i=3149
The great thing about these are they don’t have any ridiculous secondary mats like turtle scales or scorpion scales and are available from your trainer. They are however, leather hogs. The plus is though, they DE into Dream Dust and Greater Nether Essence which sell very well. You do have level 5 AH whore that can DE don’t you???

235-250 Nightscape Boots http://www.thottbot.com/?i=6735
(see above)

250-265 Rugged Armor Kits http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5749

260-275 Wicked Leather Bracershttp://www.thottbot.com/?i=14890
260-300 is the return of the suck. All the patterns are either drops or specialization patterns. Youre just gonna have to fork over the coin. If you have a good guild, see if someone has a few of these patterns gathering dust in the bank. These bracers (along with all wicked items) are great to skill up on and rogues will buy them. If you don’t want to or have trouble selling them, they DE into Dream Dust and lesser eternal essence.

280-300 Wicked Leather Headband http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5404
If you can limp your way up to 280 Then these will take you all the way to the promised land. They sell well (as long as the AH isnt flooded) and they DE into Dream Dust and Greater Eternal Essence. I still make these from time to time JUST to get the GEE.

Make no mistake, LW SUCKS to max out because of the INSANE amount of leather you need to do it. If you have the money, buying stacks off the AH from time to time really helps keep your sanity on the way to 300. If not, just keep killing and skinning. You’ll get there eventually.

GOOD LUCK!!!

  6. Grave
    Moss
[120](used for Shadow Oil and Shadow
    Protection Potions)

    Found in: If there should
really be need for this herb you should try to find it in Duskwood.

out in Duskwood though with the Alliance cities and guards.

grows at the edges of lakes.

Invisibility, Lesser Invisibility Potion and Shadow Oil)

    Found
    in:
A nice place for this were either Arathi Highlands or

  3. Goldthorn
[170](used for Arcane Elixir, Catseye Elixir, Elixir of
Agility, Elixir of Fortitude, Elixir of Greater Defense, Frost

    dusty, dry areas.
  2. Wildvine
    [-](used for Wildvine Potion)
    Found in:
Ok this herb does not have its own plant, though you can find it
sometimes on Purple Lotus plants. Else you get this plant as a drop
from Troll mobs. Best places to hunt for it are in Stranglethorn
Vale (Skullsplitter Trolls) and in The Hinterlands (Whitebark
    Trolls).
  3. Purple
    Lotus
    [210](used for Dreamless Sleep Potion,

    Healing Potion and Mana Potion)

place for this plant is Hinterlands I find. Grows all over

Intellect, Gift of Arthas, Limited Invulnerability Potion and

quantities, grows around water at the edges.
  6. Ghost
    Mushroom
    [245](used for Elixir of
Demonslaying, Elixir of Shadow Power, Ghost Dye, Invisibility Potion
    and Limited Invulnerability Potion)

    Found in:
You will very rarely find a Ghost Mushroom plant, a few of them grow in the Hinterlands in the north east before crossing the river in a
cave, also Maraudon has some. I got this herb mostly from hunting
monsters. They drop from Elemental type of mobs like Thistleshrub
Drew Collectors in Tanaris or Tar Lords/Bloodpetal Thresters/Tar
Creepers in Un’Goro Crater. Some Ghost Mushrooms can be found in east DM as well.
  7. Gromsblood
[250](used for Elixir of Brute Force, Elixir of
Demonslaying, Elixir of Detect Demon, Elixir of Giants and Mighty
    Rage Potion)

Found in: Very important herb for
Mighty Rage Potions for Warriors. You can get this herb best in
Desolace around the Demon mobs in the area with the dark/rotten
    soil.
  8. Artha’s
    Tears
[245](used for Elixir of Detect Undead
    and Gift of Arthas)

    Found in: Best Place for
this is Felwood + Eastern/Western Plaguelands. Grows all around the
zone, is a rare plant though. Can also be found Razorfen Downs on
    the Spiral of Thorns
  9. Golden
    Sansam
    [260](used for Major Healing
    Potion)

Found in: I found this plant mostly in
Un’Goro Crater. While running around at the edge of the zone, you
can find Golden Sansam (along with Mountain Silversage for Major
Healing Potions), in shadowy places next to trees and generally in
    grass.
  10. Dreamfoil
[270](used for Elixir of the Sages, Flask of Distilled
Wisdom, Greater Arcane Protection Potion, Greater Fire Protection
Potion, Greater Frost Protection Potion, Greater Shadow Protection
    Potion and Major Mana Potion)

Found in: Two nice places for this plant are definately Un’Goro Crater and Azshara, in both places you can run around on your horse/kodo all over the whole zone, you will find not only Dreamfoil but most of the high level herbs you need. Also Azshara seems one of the zones less trafficked, so you will most likely find more Dreamfoil there than in Un’Goro crater, but Un’Goro is still the best place.
Dreamfoil grows all over the zone in grass.
  11. Mountain
    Silversage
    [280](used for Elixir of
Mongoose, Flask of Chromatic Resistance, Major Healing Potion)
    Found
    in:
Extremely important and largely used herb (crit potion for rogues and major healing potions), best place to search for it is Un’Goro Crater imo. Run along the edge of the zone as the plant
grows on the highest possible (climbable) mountains.
  12. Plaguebloom
[285](used for Elixir of Brute Force, Mongoose Potion,
Elixir of the Sages and Purification Potion)

    Found in:
Best and easiest place for this is Eastern Plaguelands. Grows all
over the zone, mostly in the south-east corner though.
  13. Icecap
[290](used for Flask of Chromatic Resistance, Flask of
Distilled Wisdom, Major Mana Potion and Purification Potion)

    Found
    in:
    All over Winterspring.
  14. Black Lotus [300]
    - (used for Flask of Chromatic Resistance, and Flask of Distilled
    Wisdom)

Found in: Ok this is the rarest plant
ever, places it has been picked up so far are Eastern Plaguelands, Winterspring and Burning Steppes. Another good spot for this herb is the arena in Dire Maul, (you need a group for this) depending on if a rare named is up there spawn 2 Black Lotuses in the arena and can be harvested, you need to kill the named though which takes about a full group. Black Lotus can also be found in Alterac Valley and Silithus.

Massive EPL Honor (Gold guide)

By admin On December 24, 2009 No Comments

Not sure if this has been posted or not.

Not sure about all the other servers but on mine the EPl towers are rarely camped or people never even bother with them.

PVE servers are the best to do this on but it can be done on a PVP also.

1) The thing to do is cap a tower but only just enough to get the honor (189) not the whole way accross the bar.

2) Have a friend on the oposite faction then go and move the bar back to Neutral (or back to his faction if you both want honor, this method will take a little longer) then start from step 1 again.

It takes 8 seconds for the bar to move from 1 bit from your faction to Neutral then 8 seconds to move back to get the honor surge so 189 honor every 16 seconds or so.

Horde Powerleveling Guide 1-70 part 2 (Leveling guide)

~Priest’s Outland Horde Guide~

Introduction:
Welcome to part two of the guide! The game has changed quite a bit since BC, so hopefully this will help you understand the fastest way to level. There are hundreds of quests in the Outland, but only 10 levels of clvl advancement. There isn’t one perfect path to take due to the fact that you’ll be the same level for long chunks of time. Considering that, this guide will be a little different than the 1-60 guide that preceded it. I won’t list the perfect exact path, but instead a general path that will help you immensly (or it did me anyway).

Quest hub paths to take will be listed, along with any information necessary pertaining to that particular quest, and the order in which to do it/them. There won’t be tons of really obvious information or force you to take a single path the whole time. Read all the descriptions carefully, because you’ll be able to figure out where and how the quest is finished. I’ll list some extra info if I feel it’s necessary, since I write this guide the first time I played through the Outland. The guide is tweaked for fast leveling since that’s why I enjoy most with this game. If you’re looking for a rich, rewarding experience, this probably isn’t the guide for you. ;-) I’ve leveled three chars up to level 70 in beta alone, and usually you’re looking at the same amount of time for 60-70 that you spent on 1-50. So…get some coffee. I haven’t come up with a set-in-stone speed run yet, as it takes months and months of playing, but this should help you out immensly.
The reason for no step-by-step is that TBC will mature over time, but until it has, and I’ve done several speed runs through it and feel comfortable with a set-in-stone pattern I can then make a step-by-step guide, you are just going to have to settle with this ‘reference’ guide for now, which should still be VERY helpful.

Quest patterns are pretty much the same no matter what class you are.

If you come across any quest that you don’t know where or how to do it, simply look it up at either wow.allakhazam.com or
Thottbot.com, they will tell you everything about the quest.

Outland 60-70
01) To enter the Outland, you must have the Burning Crusade Expansion pack, otherwise you are not allowed to enter it. To enter it, you have to go through Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands, from there you can enter the Outland.
02) There is a quest giver (Warlord Dar’toon) right before you enter the dark portal that gives ‘Through the Dark Portal’ … accept it.
03) Then enter the Dark Portal.
04) Before I get started, I want you to get a bit familiar of what is in store for you, as far as the paths you are going to take. Check the map out to the right for a basic guideline on the leveling paths you are going to take. Here is a quick and basic rundown of zones/levels:
05) 60-61 Hellfire Peninsula
06) 61-63 Zangarmarsh
07) 63-65 Terokkar Forest
08) 65-67 Nagrand
09) 67-68 Blade’s Edge Mountains
10) 68-69 Netherstorm
11) 69-70 Shadowmoon Valley
12) For reference, you can check out Blizzard’s overview of Outland right here, you can get a good idea of where all the cities and dungeons are with this map. Dark Portal
01) First thing you’ll notice in front of you is a bunch of HUGE demons killing a bunch of NPCs, no need to worry about it now.
02) Go down the steps and turn in ‘Through the Dark Portal’ … accept ‘Arrival in Outland’
03) Go turn in ‘Arrival in Outland’ … accept ‘Journey to Thrallmar’
04) Then Fly to Thrallmar…
05) Make Thrallmar your home.
06) Turn in ‘Journey to Thrallmar’ … accept ‘Report to Nazgrel’
07) Go turn in ‘Report to Nazgrel’ … accept ‘Eradicate the Burning Legion’
