WoW Shaman news: Totems to be part of physical school of effects
There's some rather intriguing shaman news for World of Warcraft today, made more interesting by the delivery of the message itself. It seems shaman totems will be made part of the physical school of effects, and will be made effective at some unannounced later date.
Class Designer Koraa posted on an otherwise innocuous shaman thread where people were using an ascii text image of Ollie from Family Guy to discuss the status of the shaman at present. In the same way that forumgoers were posting the ascii and replacing the text with a complaint or otherwise funny quote about the shaman class, Koraa decided to post a change that would be made available to the class in the future using the format.
The change itself makes totem dropping immune to the effects of spell locking and silencing. It's not a big change for the shaman, but in a game where the littlest of things can sometimes have big repercussions, allowing shamans to drop totems at their leisure could be a lifesaver.
Expect us to have more news on this topic when it becomes available. Till then, sit tight.
